Review - The Wind in the Willows

posted 4 Jun 2009, 13:17 by Chilbolton Players
The West End came to Chilbolton! Yes, the production of ‘The Wind in the Willows’ deserves more than an accolade of the highest order considering the constraints of the village hall - it was absolutely superb! The Chilbolton Players worked as a real team to make this production so enjoyable.
An enormous effort was required from the initial idea a year ago through to the final production. After the adaptation much was to be done including the casting  (of budding thespians of all ages), the learning of lines and the obligatory round of rehearsals, the making of the scenery and the amazing props, lighting, sound, wardrobe, make-up and refreshments.

It never fails to amaze me that whatever the ‘players’ turn their hand to, it is always rewarding to experience the result of their efforts.

Long may they reign supreme and we all look forward to the new stage, hopefully later this year.

Congratulations to all those involved in this excellent production.

By the way, if anyone sees a vehicle with the registration TOAD 1 driving around Chilbolton, please inform the authorities immediately!
