Welcome to the Chilbolton Village Players web site. The players are an
informal group of amateur dramatics enthusiasts based in and around the North Hampshire village of Chilbolton who have been
entertaining themselves and others for over 14 years with plays,
musicals, comedy and pantomime. In addition to the wonderful
public productions put on each year, the members have the opportunity
to enjoy many other events throughout the years calendar, including the
annual new members summer gathering, social evenings, workshops, group outings etc. Recent events: Character development workshop with professional actor David Richey organised by 2014 Chairlady Fiona Talbot. Guided tour of backstage and the inner workings of the Royal Opera house led by Jane Bowen our make up specialist. Period dance class with John Turner as part of the recent production of Pride and Prejudice supper evening. Organised by the inimitable Andrew Coombes. The players operate on a stakeholding basis each member is a member of the organising committee and entitled to vote at the quarterly meetings. There is an annual subscription fee of ten pounds that helps cover some of the costs involved. . Read the group's constitution for more details.
